Cherry Tomato Jam

Cherry Tomato Jam

Serves: 1 jar


  • 1 lb (or 3 cups) cherry or grape tomatoes
  • 1 cup sugar
  • ½ cup water



Combine all ingredients in a medium saucepan and bring to a boil. Immediately lower to a simmer and cook for 35 minutes, until tomatoes have completely burst and a thick jam is formed.


Strain through the holes of a colander, pushing the mixture through the holes with the back of a spoon. Discard the peels that remain in the colander.


Return mixture to saucepan and simmer for 5 minutes, until completely thick and has a jam-like consistency. Let cool and store in a canning jar.
